sunday evening

Almost all the restaurants downtown were closed. I guess its not that surprising (Sunday dinners are traditionally the lightest time for business) but it certainly was odd driving down rows of darkened streets.
Is Richmond a city of expatriates? Come holiday season, does every one head "home" forcing the restaurants to run reduced hours? Or was it simply an aberration? Guess I wont find out since I wont be around either.
